This module covers every part of the map: how the AI clients (their models amber), the console, the server, retrieval, indexing, storage and operations fit together.

Modules 2 and 3 (the solution and MCP in depth) followed one question through the protocol. This module steps back and draws the whole system: which processes run, which door each request uses, what every request passes on the way in, where the index comes from, and where each piece of state lives. Later modules zoom into single boxes; keep this map open while you read them.
