What you are building

WHAT YOU BUILD Requirements in two forms northdesk/requirements.py QUALITY_BAR, CONSTRAINTS docs/requirements.md the page Helen signs must agree evals/quality_gate.py gates a release design_check.py checks a design test_requirements.py 7 tests rules.py and residency.py sit beside them; no model is called
The lab's piece: the requirements as code (blue) that the gate and the design checker read, and as a signed page (navy), with checks (green) that the two agree.

Joel and Helen have agreed the requirements in three conversations: the problem frame (Lesson 1), the quality bar (Lesson 2) and the constraints (Lesson 3). Until now each lived in a lesson's notebook. This lab puts them in the repository in two forms that must never disagree: northdesk/requirements.py, the numbers every later gate imports, and docs/requirements.md, the page Helen signs.

The lessons' files join the repository unchanged, and a test file checks that page and code agree. No cell calls a hosted model, so you need no key.

Open a new Colab notebook, call it module-02-lab.ipynb, and run each cell in order.
